Andrew Green BSc(Hons) has arrived in Iceland and will be a guide in some of our Northern Lights tours this season.

Andrew is an Astronomer from Cambridge UK and has been coming to Iceland for almost 8 years working as an astronomer on Northern Lights Tours. He has an honours degree in planetary science and has been involved in astronomy for over 40 years lecturing all over the world. He is also an elected fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and published photographer and Author.

Andrew chosen filed is the Aurora Borealis, he is a very experienced guide, and a veteran of over 400 Aurora tours in Iceland, many with Thule’s manager Ómar Tavsen. He will be on hand to explain how the Aurora forms some of the people involved in its history and will explain a few of the legends associated with it. Whilst we wait for the Northern Lights, he will also be able to explain about the constellations and their legends if the skies are clear at our viewing spot.

He is always on hand to help with any questions you may have about space or photography.
