It is nice to take a stroll through the town. Along the banks of the river is the old town. The town was built close to the river beecause of a bridge that crossed over the river. This nearly a 100 years old bridge was taken down in 2006 and a new one built a little bit south of the town. This was a very prosperous town in a big farming area.

This farming area is full of icelandic horses, horse rentals,horseback riding tours and horse ranches. You can visit farms and go on helicopter tours.
